Adjusting the swather
4.6 Travelling speed and drive
speed
The travelling speed and the drive speed depends on:
• the amount of crop
• the subsoil
• the degree of dryness
Use these as rough guidelines:
• PTO speed approx. 450 rpm
• Travelling speed approx. 8-10 km/h
For drive speed and travel, speed please refer to
4.5 Swath former
The distance between the swath former and the swather
disc is infinitely adjustable for narrow or wide swaths to
suit crop conditions.
The distance between the swath former and the swather
disc is set to suit the amount of crop.
large crop = larger distance
small crop = smaller distance
To do this loosen the adjusting screw (1), move the
swath former (2) to the desired position and retighten the
adjusting screw (1).
The swath former can be adjusted lengthways. This
adjustment is necessary if feed falls forward past the
swath former, for example.
To do this release screws (3), put the swath former into
the desired position and tighten screws (3).
Height adjustment of the swath former:
The adjustment is required if fodder falls under the
swath former, for example and is not evened out by the
working depth adjustment.
To do this:
• Unscrew the linchpins (4).
• Pull the swath former out of the support
• Reinstall the sleeves (5)
• Insert the swath former into the support and secure
it with the linchpin (4)
