Operating preparations
3.3 PTO shaft
3.3.1 General
Switch off the engine after coupling
the rotary swather to the tractor
linkage. Remove the ignition key.
Secure the tractor from rolling away!
The PTO shaft is fitted with an overload coupling.
Overload couplings protect the tractor and
implement from damage. The overload coupling
setting must not be altered. The guarantee will
become void if the set torque changes due to the
overload coupling being tampered with.
The torque is limited once there is overloading and
is transferred as a pulse during the slip time.
To prevent the overload coupling from wearing
out prematurely, the PTO shaft should be
disengaged immediately once
the overload coupling responds.
Compare the relevant RM torque value with
the value given in the following table.
If these values do not tally, please consult
your Krone dealer.
