Operating preparations
Pull the PTO shaft apart so it can be adjusted. Slide the
two corresponding halves of the PTO shaft on to the
machine (1) and on to the tractor (2). The overload
coupling must be fitted on the implement side! Set
the rotary swather using the rear hydraulics to the
shortest position for the PTO shaft. Hold both halves next
to each other and measure the correct length. See the
PTO shaft manufacturer's operating instructions for the
exact measuring and shortening procedure.
3.3.2 Adjusting the length of the PTO shaft
Danger of material damage: Do not lift
before the length of the PTO shaft has
been adjusted!
Switch off the PTO shaft when carrying out service, maintenance, repair and assembly
work on the rotary swather. Switch off the engine. Remove the ignition key. Secure the
tractor from rolling away!
No-one should be standing between the tractor and the rotary swather while the swather
is being raised.
