8. Mandatory Maintenance and Check-up Operations
▪ Replace group gaskets
▪ Replace diffuser screens
▪ Clean auto-fill probe
▪ Check vacuum breaker for
proper operation
▪ Inspect water inlet valve
▪ Check brew temperature
▪ Checking the pre-infusion and
delivery pressure
▪ Check all switches for proper
operation
▪ Check/note water hardness
(Water quality must be within the
range of parameters specified in
the chapter on Installation,
otherwise warranty is voided)
▪ Check filter basket condition
▪ Expansion valve inspection
▪ Spring stem inspection
▪ Cam inspection
▪ Check for cylinder complete
saturation
These operations are in addition to the Maintenance and Periodic Cleaning Operations as specied in Chapter 6.
The following maintenance and check-up operations sould be carried out by a qualied technician.
The time required for the periodic maintenance is determinated by the quantity of daily work and/or coffee consumption.
N.B. These periodic maintenance operations are not covered by warranty.
▪ Check the condition of the inside of boilers and if necessary rinse out with a proper cleaning product allowed for food and beverage
appliances.
EVERY THREE/FOUR MONTHS
EVERY 3 YEARS (in addition to the above)
▪ Replace portafilter baskets
▪ Inspect vacuum breaker
▪ Inspect electrical wiring

▪ Inspect boilers safety switches
▪ Replace over-pressure valve
(safety valve)
▪ Accurate control of the
tightness at 2,4Nm of each
cable on the terminal block
▪ Replacement of piston seals
▪ Check for tightness of the lever
mechanism screws
Version S:
▪ Overhaul of steam taps
Version X and 90:
▪ Inspection of steam proportional
valve
▪ Replacement of piston stem
seals
▪ Replacement of spring stem

▪ Replacement of cam wheel
