Cold Temperature Storage
Water System Winterization - Draining
1. Drain the fresh water tank by opening the
fresh water tank drain valve (1). Refer to the
“Water and Plumbing System” chapter for
location details.
2. When the fresh water tank is completely
empty, run the water pump for 1 minute to
drain out any water remaining in the pump.
3. Remove the water lter screen (2) and
clean. Re-install the clean screen.
4. Drain the water heater by relieving the
pressure at the pressure relief valve (3).
5. Un-clip the Easy-Open drain lever and
remove lter screen.
6. Attach the blow out plug to the city water
hookup in the utility center.
7. Connect a compressed air line to the blow
out plug.
8. Open all hot and cold water faucets,
including the exterior shower, and blow out
all water.
NOTE: Place lter/screen in a secure
location during the storage period.
NOTE: Unity U24TB and U24IB models only
- Flush macerator toilet. DO NOT FLUSH
NON-MACERATOR TOILETS AT THIS TIME.
NOTICE
Do NOT depress the toilet ush pedal if there
is air pressure in the system or damage to
the toilet ush valve could result.
9. Disconnect the compressed air line, and
remove the blow out plug. Release air
pressure by opening all faucets.
10. For Unity U24TB and U24IB models only:
After releasing all air pressure from the
lines, depress the toilet ush lever while an
assistant applies compressed air into the
blow out plug. Disconnect the compressed
air line, and remove the blow out plug.
Release air pressure by opening all faucets.
11. Remove the water lter canister, empty any
remaining water, and reinstall the water lter
canister.
12. Drain the black and grey waste holding
tanks.
13. Add approximately 1 cup of non-toxic
plumbing antifreeze to the kitchen sink,
bathroom sink, shower drain, and toilet bowl.
14. For Unity U24TB and U24IB models only:
With the termination valves closed, run the
macerator (if equipped) for 10 seconds or
until the tank is completely empty.
