Water System Winterization
Adding Plumbing Non-toxic Antifreeze
1. Switch off the water pump inside (above the
entrance door) and disconnect the garden
hose at city water outside.
2. Switch off the water heater inside (above
the entrance door) (if equipped); if not, then
switch off outside at the water heater.
3. Switch off propane in the outside utility
compartment.
4. Drain the fresh water tank (MB and FX fresh
water tanks are below the oor outside the
coach and TB, CB, and IB fresh water tanks
are under the bed inside the coach.) You
may want to leave the water tank valve open
for winter storage.
5. Relieve the water pressure by opening the
hot and cold taps on any faucet.
6. Close valves (A), (B), and (E). (NO AIR PSI/
WINTERIZATION FLUID IS TO ENTER
THE WATER HEATER)
7. Valve (D) should remain closed at this point.
8. Open valve (C).
9. Remove the water lter canister (stored
under the sink), remove the lter cartridge
from the canister, and reinstall the water
lter canister (make sure it is tight.) Store the
lter cartridge in a warm, dry place.
10. Drain the water heater (avoid the risk of
being scalded.) Outside at the yellow easy
drain lever, lift the black clip and fold down
the yellow easy drain lever. Remove the
water inlet lter and store in a warm, dry
place. Close the yellow easy drain lever.
11. Place the suction hose attached to the
winterize valve in the utility compartment into
a non-toxic plumbing antifreeze container
and turn the valve to the winterize position
(making sure the city water/tank ll valve is
in the city water position) in order not to get
antifreeze into fresh water tank.

12. Switch on the water pump inside (above
entrance door) and pump antifreeze through
all hot and cold faucets one at a time
(including toilet ush with the rinse hose (if
equipped)) and outside shower until pink
antifreeze appears.
13. Go inside and switch off the water pump. You
can now open valve D at the water heater
inside to drain and relieve the pressure in
the water lines. Access the water pump
inside the coach, unscrew the lter bowl to
access the screen, remove the screen, and
clean the screen and lter bowl with fresh
water before reinstalling both components
on the water pump.
14. Go outside and remove the screen from the
city water ll connection, depress the center
stem until no more uid drains out (you
mayor may not see any uid), and replace
the screen in the city water ll connection.
Turn the winterize valve to normal ow
and place the suction hose in the utility
compartment.
15. Remove the water lter canister from under
the sink, empty the antifreeze from the
canister, and reinstall the water lter canister
(making sure it is tight.)
