6. EMERGENCY STOP BUTTONS
Central unit
Disconnect the power supply plug from the wall socket, if there is an
emergency.
Robot unit
Two emergency stop buttons are installed on the robot unit:
• On the rear of the robot arm
• On the side of the robot control room cover
When any one of these buttons is pushed, the robot unit immediately stops
operation and there is no movement of the robot arm. The switched power
on the robot unit is switched off.
When one of the emergency stop buttons is pushed, the electrical and
pneumatic power are still partially supplied to the milking robot. Make
sure that you switch off the electrical and pneumatic power supplies on
the central unit immediately after an emergency stop button is pushed.
To reset an emergency stop button, turn the button clockwise and pull it out
until it locks. Then the robot unit must be reset and the robot arm must be
calibrated before it can operate.
