After this task is completed
• Carefully lay the enclosure on a flat, static-protective surface.
Remove a node from the enclosure
Notes:
• For a node installed in an enclosure, the node is with no top cover.
• Depending on the specific configuration, the node, enclosure, or rails might look different from the
illustrations in this section.
Procedure
Step 1. Make preparations for this task.
a. Power off the node and disconnect all power cords from the node (see
“Power off the server”
on page 8
).
• For 1U2N enclosure, remove the power cable cover; then, disconnect the external power
adapter cable(s) from the node (see
“Remove a power adapter from the enclosure” on page
26
).
• For 2U2N enclosure, disconnect the external power adapter cord(s) from the node.
Step 2. Remove the node from the enclosure.
a.
Press the release button on the rear of the enclosure.
b.
Slide the node out of the enclosure.
