UpdatingtheUEFIBIOS
TheUEFIBIOSisthefirstprogramthatthecomputerrunswhenthecomputeristurnedon.TheUEFIBIOS
initializesthehardwarecomponents,andloadstheoperatingsystemandotherprograms.
Whenyouinstallanewprogram,devicedriver,orhardwarecomponent,youmightbeinformedtoupdate
theUEFIBIOS.YoucanupdatetheUEFIBIOSbystartingyourcomputerfromaflashupdatediscoraflash
updateprogramrunningintheWindowsenvironment.
Therequirementsforflashupdateareasfollows:
•ThecomputermustbestartedoverLAN.
•ThecomputermustbeengagedinthePrebooteXecutionEnvironment(PXE).
•Anetwork-managementprogrammustbeinstalledonthecomputerofthenetworkadministrator.
