IfyourcomputerisequippedwiththeIntegratedBluetoothfeatures,youcanenableordisablethefeatures
bypressingF9.IfyoupressF9,alistofwirelessfeaturesisdisplayed.Youcanenableordisablethe
Bluetoothfeatureswithasingleclick.
TocongureaBluetoothdeviceormanageconnectionsettings,youcanuseBluetoothDevicesinControl
Panel.
1.ClickStart➙ControlPanel.
2.ClickHardwareandSound.
3.ClickDevicesandPrinters.
TosenddatatoaBluetooth-enableddevice,doasfollows:
1.Right-clickthedatathatyouwanttosend.
2.SelectSendTo➙BluetoothDevices.
Fordetails,refertotheWindowsonlinehelp.
Note:Ifyouusethewirelessfeature(the802.11standard)ofyourcomputersimultaneouslywithaBluetooth
option,datatransmissionspeedcanbedelayedandtheperformanceofthewirelessfeaturecanbe
degraded.
ForWindowsXP
IfyourcomputerisequippedwiththeIntegratedBluetoothfeatures,youcanenableordisablethefeatures
bypressingF9.
IfyoupressF9,alistofwirelessfeaturesisdisplayed.YoucanenableordisabletheBluetoothfeatures
withasingleclick.
InWindowsXP,youcanuseeitherThinkPadBluetoothwithEnhancedDataRateSoftware,ortheMicrosoft
Bluetoothsoftware.Bydefault,ThinkPadBluetoothwithEnhancedDataRateSoftwareisinstalledonyour
computer.
UsingBluetoothforthersttimeonyourcomputer
IfthisisthersttimeBluetoothhasbeenusedonyourcomputer,useeitherofthefollowingprocedures:
1.Double-clicktheMyBluetoothPlacesicononthedesktop,ortheBluetoothiconinthetaskbar.The
StartUsingBluetoothwindowopens,andsomevirtualdevicedriversareinstalledautomatically.
2.Waituntiltheinstallationofthedriversiscomplete.

1.Right-clicktheMyBluetoothPlacesicononthedesktop,ortheBluetoothiconinthetaskbar.
2.SelectStartUsingBluetooth.TheStartUsingBluetoothwindowopens,andsomevirtualdevice
driversareinstalledautomatically.
3.Waituntiltheinstallationofthedriversiscomplete.
SomeothervirtualdevicedriverswillbeinstalledondemandwhenyouusecertainBluetoothproles
forthersttime.
