youbegintoavoidanydatalossduetoaRAIDconfigurationchange.
1.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage65.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage65.
4.LocatetheLenovoThinkServerRAID510iAnyRAIDAdapter.See“Servercomponents”onpage25.
5.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheRAID510ikeytoanyunpaintedsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,taketheRAID510ikeyoutofthepackage.

6.LocatetheconnectorfortheRAID510ikeyontheLenovoThinkServerRAID510iAnyRAIDAdapter.
Then,inserttheRAID510ikeyintotheconnector.EnsurethattheRAID510ikeyissecurelyseatedon
theAnyRAIDadapter.
