TheEMIintegrityandcoolingoftheserverareprotectedbyhavingalldrivebayscoveredoroccupied.When
youinstallthetapedrive,savetheremovedprotectiveshieldfromthechassis.Ifyoulaterremovethe
drive,youwillneedtheshieldtocoverthedrivebay.
Attention:AnunoccupieddrivebaywithoutanyotherprotectionmightimpacttheEMIintegrityandcooling
oftheserver,whichmightresultinoverheatingorcomponentdamage.TomaintaintheEMIintegrityand
coolingoftheserver,installanewtapedriveassoonasyouremovethefailingoneortheprotectiveshield.

Toinstallthetapedrive,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
