Toinstallorreplaceaneasy-swapstoragedrive,dothefollowing:
1.Reviewthefollowinginstallationrules:
•Whenyouinstalldrives,followtheorderofthedrivebaynumbers.See“Frontviewoftheserver”on

tolocatethedrivebaysinyourserver.
•ForRAIDconfiguration,thedrivesmustbethesametypewiththesamecapacityiftheyarewithina
singleRAIDarray.Formoreinformation,see“ConfiguringRAID”onpage58.
2.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
3.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage65.
4.Locatetheappropriateeasy-swap-drivebay.See“Frontviewoftheserver”onpage17.
5.Useascrewdrivertoturnthehandlelock1totheunlockedposition.Thehandleopensautomatically.
