1.Inserttheoperatingsysteminstallationdiscintotheopticaldrivethatyouhavesetasthefirststartup
device,andstarttheserverfromtheopticaldrive.
2.WhenthemessagePressanykeytobootfromCDorDVD...isdisplayed,pressanykey.Ifthemessage
WindowsSetup[EMSEnabled]isdisplayed,pressEnter.ThemessageLoadingles...willbedisplayed.
Waitseveralminutesforthesystemtoloadthefiles.
3.Whenthe“MicrosoftHyper-VServer2012”windowisdisplayed,configurethelanguageandother
optionsyouneedandthenclickNext.
4.ClickInstallnow.
5.ReadthelicensetermsandselectIacceptthelicenseterms.ThenclickNext.
6.Selectthetypeofinstallationyouneed.ThefollowingstepsarebasedonthescenariothatCustom:
InstallthenewerversionofHyper-VServeronly(advanced)isselectedinthisstep.
7.Inthe“WheredoyouwanttoinstallWindows?”window,dependingontheSATAconfigurationon
yourserver,dooneofthefollowing:
•IfyourSATAconfigurationissetasRAID(bothADDonRAIDandOBRAID):dothefollowing:
a.ConnecttheUSBstoragedevicethatcontainsthedrivertoyourserverandclickLoadDriver.
b.ClickBrowsetolocatetherequireddriverandthenclickOK.
c.Inthe“Selectthedrivertobeinstalled”window,selectHidedriversthatarenotcompatible
withhardwareonthiscomputer.Selectthedriverthatyouwanttoinstall,andthenclickNext
toinstallthedriver.
•IfyourSATAconfigurationissetasAHCI:gotostep8.
8.Inthe“WheredoyouwanttoinstallHyper-VServer?”window,clickDriveoptions(advanced).
9.Choosethestoragedevicetoinstalltheoperatingsystem,andthenclickNew.
10.Typetheamountofspace(inMB),andthenclickApply.
11.IntheInstallMicrosoftHyper-VServerSetupwindow,clickOK.
12.Ensurethatthedrivepartitioniscorrect,andthenclickNext.Theinstallationbegins.
Note:Y ourserverwillrestartseveraltimesduringtheinstallation.
13.Whenthe“PressCtrl+Alt+Deletetosignin”windowprompts,pressCtrl+Alt+Delete.
14.ClickAdministrator.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentochangethepasswordandthenlog
intotheoperatingsystem.
