FortheRedhatEnterpriseLinuxoperatingsystem,thedriverforchipsetisinstalledduringtheoperating
systeminstallation.
Installingthedriverforanonboardgraphicscard
Toinstallthedriverforanonboardgraphicscard,dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthedriverforanonboardgraphicscardfromtheLenovoWebsite.Ifthedriverisa
compressedfile,unzipittoafolder.Themostup-to-datedevicedriversforvariousservermodelsare
alwaysavailablefordownloadontheLenovoWebsiteat:
http://www.lenovo.com/drivers.Then,copythefoldertoyourUSBstoragedeviceandconnecttheUSB
storagedevicetoyourserver.
2.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromyourUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
3.Addthefollowingkemelparametertothe/etc/grub2.cfgconfigurationfileandrestarttheoperating
system.
vga=0rdblacklist=nouveaunouveau.modeset=0
4.OpentheTerminal,andinputinit3toenterthecommand-linewindow.
5.Typetheusernameandpassword.
6.Enterthefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver:
echo"blacklistnouveau">>/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
mv/boot/initramfs-$(uname-r).img/boot/initramfs-$(uname-r)-nouveau.img
dracut/boot/initramfs-$(uname-r).img$(uname-r)
7.Gotothedriverpath,andentercommandshNVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-346.47 .run.Thenfollowtheinstall
wizardtocompletethedriverinstallation.
Note:Inthecommandlines,NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-346.47.runrepresentsthedrivername.Usethe
correspondingfilenameonyourserver.
8.Restartyourserver.
InstallingthedriverfortheIntelEthernetcard
Toinstallthedriver,dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthedriverforanonboardgraphicscardfromtheLenovoWebsite.Ifthedriverisa
compressedfile,unzipittoafolder.Themostup-to-datedevicedriversforvariousservermodelsare
alwaysavailablefordownloadontheLenovoWebsiteat:

2.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromyourUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory

3.IftheNICinboxdriverisalreadyinstalled,uninstallthedriverfirstandthentypemmode1000einTerminal.
