BeforeinstallinganoperatingsysteminUEFImode,downloadyourdesireddriverfromtheLenovoWebsite
athttp://www.lenovo.com/drivers.Then,copythedrivertoaUSBstoragedevice.
ConfiguringtheBIOSsetting
BeforeinstallinganoperatingsysteminUEFImode,configuretheBIOSsettingbydoingthefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.
2.OntheStartupmenu,selectCSMandclickDisable.
InstallingtheMicrosoftWindowsServer2012operatingsystem
Thistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinstallthefollowingoperatingsystemsandthedrivers:
•MicrosoftWindowsServer2012StandardEdition
•MicrosoftWindowsServer2012FoundationEdition
ToinstalltheMicrosoftWindowsServer2012operatingsystem,dothefollowing:
1.Inserttheoperatingsysteminstallationdiscintotheopticaldrivethatyouhavesetasthefirststartup
device,andstarttheserverfromtheopticaldrive.
Note:IfthemessagePressanykeytobootfromcdordvdisdisplayed,pressanykey.Ifthemessage
WindowsSetup[EMSEnabled]isdisplayed,pressEnter.ThemessageLoadingles...willbedisplayed.
Waitseveralminutesforthesystemtoloadthefiles.
2.IntheWindowsServer2012window,selectthelanguageandotheroptions.ThenclickNext.
3.ClickInstallnow.
4.TypeyourproductkeyandthenclickNext.TheproductkeyinformationisavailableontheMicrosoft
CertificateofAuthenticitylabelorproductpackaging.
5.Selecttheoperatingsystemyouwanttoinstall,andthenclickNext.
6.ReadthelicensetermsandselectIacceptthelicenseterms.ThenclickNext.
7.Selectthetypeofinstallationyouneed.ThefollowingstepsarebasedonthescenariothatCustom:
InstallWindowsonly(Advanced)isselectedinthisstep.
8.Inthe“WheredoyouwanttoinstallWindows?”window,dependingontheSATAconfigurationon
yourserver,dooneofthefollowing:
