INSTALLATION

OPERATION
3.1
INSTALLATION
-
Assemble
the
choppers
vertically
with
the
LED
display
at
the
top.
-
Ensure
a
free
space
of
100 mm at
the top
and
bottom
of the
choppers.
For
type
522
E,
ensure
a
free
space
of at least 50 mm at
either
side.
-
Connect
the
fixing
screw
of
the
reference
potentiometer
to
PE.
-
The
ambient
temperature must
not
exceed 45
0C.
Ensure
that
there
is
adequate
ventilation.
-
Soreen
control
cables. To
ensure
effective
screening
of
the
cables,
a
conductive
connection
is
necessary
in
case
of
interruptions.
Screening
must
be
as
dose to
the
terminals
as
possible
and
must
be
apphed
to
PE
at
one
side.
The
connection
to
PE
should
have
as
bw
a
resistance
and
as
large
a
cross-sectional
area as
possible.
-
In
order to
avoid interferences
of
other electronic
equipment,
the motor
lines
must
be
screened
as
weil.
This
is
especially
important
if
the motor
lines
cannot
be
laid
separatelyfrom
the
chopper
lines.
Connect
the
soreens of
the motor
lines
on
the controller
and
on
the
motor.

Select
the
line
protecting
fuses
according
to
the
rated
mains
currents
of
the
choppers
from
table 2.1.
-
To
reduce
the
mains
feedback
and
increase
the
life
of
the
chopper,
we
recommend
to
operate
the
devices
with
the specified
mains
choke
(see
2.4.1
and
6.2)
-
Replace
defective
fuses
with
the specified
type only
when
no
voltage
is
applied.
