3.2 RADIO INTERFERENCE SUPPRESSION

electrical systems within connected operation rooms, commercial premises or
industrial plants, provided that outside the commercial premises, interference levels
do not exceed the limit values according to VDE 0871/6.78, dass B
The choppers should only be operated in compliance with local regulations.
1) To inerease the EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) with sensitive electronic
devices, as for example a PLC, it is recommended to install a standard mains
filter. Suitable filters are shown in the table below.
2> If the chopper is to be used within a residential area or if the limit value dass B
outside the premises is exceeded, then more effective suppression is necessary
necessary in order to ensure compliance with VDE 0871, limit value dass B.
0 Measures:
- Screen motor lines A and B.
Reasons:
a) Limiting radio interferenees, which are caused by the high switching
frequency of the power stages.
b) Avoiding the above mentioned interferenees on signal lines which are
laid in parallel.
- Apply motor screen on thecontroller and on the motor to PE.
- Sereen control lines and apply to one side of the chopper.
To ensure effective screening of the lines, the sereen must not be interrupted.
Screening must be as dose to the drive as possible.
- The connection to PE should have as bw a resistande and as large as a cross
sectional area as possible.
