Moving the printer
If you move the printer to another location, we recommend you pack it in the box it came in. If the box
is unavailable, find the closest equivalent.
1 If you are shipping the printer, remove the printheads and ink cartridges. For short moves,
leave them in the printer.
2 Remove the multipurpose feeder and/or tray 2 if attached.
3 Unplug the power cord.
4 Unplug all cables.
5 if you are shipping the printer, remove the PerfectFinish cartridge and seal it in a ziploc bag .
For short moves, leave the cartridge in the machine.
6 if you are shipping the printer, remove any paper from tray 1. For short moves, the paper can
remain in the tray.
7 Repack the printer with foam or other protective materials.
The next time the printer is turned on, it refills the PerfectFinish cartridge applicator.
WARNING: Keep the box level during transport.
