requirements above, under heavy load
carrying conditions, it may lead to balance
shaft housing deformation which will cause
sealing ring failure, a clearance between
balance shaft housing cover and balance shaft
housing, and extending of bolt. When it is
serious, the balance shaft housing cover may
get broken and then oil leakage will occur at
internal or external side of the balance
shaft housing.
b. If the road condition for operation is poor,
the impurities such as water and mud due to
vehicle running would disable the sealing
ring (oil seal) and accelerate the aging of
sealant applied on balance shaft housing
cover, thus oil leakage will occur.
c. If timely routine maintenance is not
performed, in heavy load carrying process,
the 2-M8×2 nuts (or 12-M16×1.5 bolts) on
both ends of balance shaft assembly would get
loose and the fit clearance in balance shaft
housing increases, which will lead to
indirect components floating and then cause
sealing ring failure and a clearance between
balance shaft housing cover and balance shaft
housing. Thus oil leakage will occur.
