a. Do maintenance on balance suspension
assembly in strict accordance with the
routine maintenance rules in the chapter of
Service and Maintenance.
b. If oil leakage occurs at the seal joint of
balance shaft housing cover and balance shaft
housing, it is recommended to remove the
balance shaft housing cover, carefully check
the balance shaft housing cover for cracks
and replace the balance shaft housing cover
directly. Tighten the 12-M16×1.5 bolts to
the required torque, lock the stop washer,
clean the external end surface of balance
shaft housing, replace the O-rings or add
rubber gasket to the fitting surface, and
finally tighten the 8-M8 bolts. It is
required to tighten bolts diagonally so as to
make them under even stress.
c. If there is oil leakage from the internal
side of balance shaft housing, it indicates
the sealing ring of shaft is in failure and
should be replaced. For specific procedures,
refer to paragraph a. Removal, installation
and adjustment of balance suspension
assembly.
