4.9 SCU(SystemControlUnit)
that is permanently attached to the mattress. The microprocessor-controlled SCU maintains the set pressure regardless
of the patient’s position by continuously monitoring and adjusting the air pressure in the mattress.
The SCU is equipped with an audio/visual alert system for detecting power failures, air pipe disconnections or other
mounting.
5 Control Panel Description
The control panel of the SCU serves to control the mattress replacement system and shows errors and maintenance
requirements with indicators and alert sounds.
