2.2.5. Restore Factory Settings
Restore the device to factory settings before using it. You may also restore
factory settings if the device encounters a persistent problem, or if you
want to pass the device to someone else.
CAUTION: Restoring the device to factory settings deletes data and
user-configured settings. Make sure to perform a backup before
proceeding.
To restore factory settings:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button, and then press the Power
button. Wait until the Android System Recovery Screen is displayed.
3. Press the Volume Down button to select wipe data/factory reset.
4. To confirm, press and hold the Power button until the screen turns
blank.
