mum braking efficiency will be achieved if, for the first few
hundred miles, needless heavy braking is avoided, and the
brake pads and discs are allowed to ‘bed in’ fully before
being used to their full potential (see also ‘Footbrake’).
Brake Pipes & Hoses
At the recommended service intervals, the brake pipes and
flexible hoses should be carefully examined for signs of damage,
corrosion or perishing, especially in territories where salt is used
on the road surface in the winter months.
