WARNING
• Using a lifting jackcan be dangerous. Ifthecar falls off
the jack, you or others could be seriously injured or killed.
NEVER get under a car when it is supported only by a jack.
• Beforeraisingthecarwithajack:
- Turn off the engine;
- Firmly apply the parking brake;
- Engage first or reverse gear;
- Securely chock all wheels not to be lifted.
• Useonlythoseliftingpointsidentiedbelow.Jackingon
any part of the body, or with a jack improperly positioned,
may damage the chassis or body structure and/or jeopardise
safety.
The reduced ground clearance concomitant with a deflated
tire, and the consequent reduced visibility, demands that extra
vigilance be excercised to position the jack only under the areas
shown in the illustration. If available, use suitable rubber or
timber pads to protect the chassis from surface damage:
A; Identified by an adjacent blue sticker. A ribbed alloy pad beneath
the inboard rear end of each front wheelarch area.
B; Identified by an adjacent blue sticker. A ribbed alloy pad beneath
the rear end of the chassis main siderail, just ahead of each
rear wheelarch.
