The signal words DANGER, WARNING and CAUTION
identify hazards and the levels of hazard seriousness.
Their selection is based on the likely consequence of
human interaction with a hazard in terms of the probability
of injury and the degree of severity. Failure to follow the
recommendations contained in any of these statements
may result in some form of personal injury. Definitions for
identifying hazard levels with their respective signal words
are as follows:
Immediate hazards that WILL result in severe personal
injury or death.
Hazards or unsafe practices that COULD result in
severe personal injury or death.
Hazards or unsafe practices that COULD result in minor
personal injury or product or property damage.
