HAZARD COMMUNICATION LABELS
Some or all of the labels shown below can be found in
various locations on your boat. The labels appropriate for
your boat are determined by the standard and optional
equipment actually installed on board your boat upon
delivery. Check with your dealer to find out what labels
your boat should have. If any label is missing, ask your
dealer for a replacement.
IMPORTANT: The purpose of these labels is to prevent
accidents, injury or death. Make sure everyone on board
reads and understands them
For maximum enjoyment and safety, check each of
these
items BEFORE you start your engine:
ü DRAIN PLUG (Securely in place?) (if applicable)
ü LIFE-SAVING DEVICES
(One for every person on board?)
ü STEERING SYSTEM
(Working smoothly and properly?)
ü FUEL SYSTEM
(Adequate fuel? Leaks? Fumes?)
ü BATTERY
(Fully charged? Cable terminals clean and tight?)
ü ENGINE (In neutral?)
ü CAPACITY PLATE
(Are you overloaded or overpowered?)
ü WEATHER CONDITIONS (Safe to go out?)
ü ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
(Lights, horn, pump, etc.?)
ü EMERGENCY GEAR
(Fire extinguisher, bailer, paddle, anchor & line,
signaling device, tool kit, etc.?)
