OWNER/OPERATOR’S LOGS AND
RECORDS
Two forms you will find very helpful are the following:
• Boat Data Record is used to record all important
information about your boat and the major components
installed.
• Service/Maintenance Log provides a record of
maintenance work completed on your boat.
Refer to Chapter 8 for more information and copies of
these forms.
EDUCATION
Courses on boat handling and seamanship are conducted
by volunteer organizations such as the U.S. Power
Squadrons, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the
American Red Cross. These courses will sharpen your
boating skills and bring you up-to-date on current rules and
regulations even if you are a veteran boater. See Chapter
8 for more information.
