5.4.2 Drilling with batten guide fence U.S.A.
The batten guide fence is used for drilling into narrow battens (approx. 14 - 48 mm | 0.55 - 1.89 in) and small
distances between drilled holes.
Important information when using the batten guide fence:
- You may only use 1 drill bit with max. ø 8 mm [0.31 in].
- Unused drill bits must be removed from the machine beforehand.
- The drill spacing to the stop pin is 7.5 mm! [0.30 in]
- When you adjust the drilling depth, bear in mind that the batten guide fence reduces it by
15 mm [0.59 in].
Use the following procedure to install the batten
guide fence:
1. Ensure that only one drill bit with max. ø 8 mm
[0.31 in] is mounted in the machine.
2. Press the catches (23) on the batten guide
fence together and insert the batten guide fence
at the front of the base plate.
➢ The batten guide fence can only be
mounted in the correct position with
respect to the mounted drill bit!
