DRAINING THE LIQUID
- Remove the filler plug 4 to ensure that the oil is drained properly.
- Place a container under the lower radiator hose 5 and remove it.
- Let the cooling circuit drain entirely while ensuring that the ports do not get clogged.
- Check the condition of the hoses as well as the fasteners and change them if necessary.
- Rinse the circuit with clean water and use a cleaning agent if necessary.
FILLING WITH LIQUID
- Refit the radiator hose 5.
- Slowly fill the system with the coolant (
LUBRICANTS AND FUEL) through the
filler port 6.
- Run the engine at idle for a few minutes.
- Check for any possible leaks.
- Check the coolant level (up to 15 mm below the filler port opening 6).
- Lubricate slightly the filler neck in order to facilitate the setting and the removal
of the radiator cap.
- Put back the radiator filler cap 4.

- Open the engine cover ( DESCRIPTION: INSTRUMENTS AND CONTROLS).
- Unscrew the thumbscrews 1 and remove the housing 2.
- Remove the expansion tank plug 3.
- Remove radiator filler cap 4.
- Place a container under the lower radiator hose 5 and remove it.
- Let the cooling circuit drain entirely while ensuring that the ports do not get clogged.
- Check the condition of the hoses as well as the fasteners and change them if necessary.
- Rinse the circuit with clean water and use a cleaning agent if necessary.
FILLING WITH LIQUID
- Refit the radiator hose 5.
- Slowly fill the system with the coolant (
LUBRICANTS AND FUEL) through the
filler port 6.
- Put back the radiator filler cap 4.
- Fill the expansion tank to the maximum level through the filler port 7.
- Run the engine at idle for a few minutes.
- Check for any possible leaks.
- Check the level in the expansion tank and top-up if necessary.
- Refit the expansion tank filler plug 3.
