Removal
1. If the CE option is provided, remove the hoist covers.
2. Remove all cable from the hoist drum.
3. Tag and disconnect the hydraulic lines to the hoist. Cap
or plug all lines and openings.
4. Tag and disconnect the electrical wires to the hoist
rotation indicator.
5. Tag and disconnect the electrical wires to the hoist hi-
speed solenoid valve.
6. Remove the hoist mounting nuts, capscrews, washers,
and shims (if shims are used, mark their location).
NOTE: The HP15C-17G hoist assembly, less the cable,
weighs approximately 300 kg (661 pounds).
7. Using an adequate lifting device, remove the hoist from
the crane.
DANGER
Failure to properly warm up the hoist, particularly under
low ambient temperature conditions, may result in
temporary brake slippage due to high back pressures
attempting to release the brake, which could result in
property damage, severe personal injury or death.
