48. Install the grease fitting (106) into the shaft of the sheave
mount weldment (117) (left and right sides). Add grease
until the grease extrudes through the sheaves.
49. Install the two tele 3 extend cables (150), labeled 2 and
5, into the anchor points at the rear of tele 3 (4) (see
Figure 4-40).
50. Install the four tele 3 extend cables (150), labeled 1, 3, 4,
and 6, into the anchor points at the rear of tele 3 (4) (see
Figure 4-40).
51. Mount the cylinder wear pad (123) to the top of the
anchor point at the rear of tele 3 (4) using the two bolts
(124) and lock washers (25) (see Figure 4-40).
52. Pull the six tele 3 extend cables (150) until they seat into
the anchor points at the rear of tele 3 (4).
53. Attach the cable keeper (125) to the rear of tele 3 (4)
using the two bolts (124) and lock washers (25).
54. Attach the two tele 3 retract cables (65) to the rear of tele
3 (4) using the pin (120), two flat washers (121), and two
cotter pins (122) (left and right sides) (see Figure 4-41).
55. Coil the four tele 3 retract cables (65) and set them on
top of the telescope cylinder (6) (see Figure 4-42).
56. Mount the wear pad assembly (82) to each side of the
bottom rear of tele 3 (4) using the two capscrews (83).
57. Mount the wear pad assembly (71) to each side of the
bottom rear of tele 3 (4) using the two capscrews (83)
and lock washers (72).
58. Position tele 2 (3) up side down and behind tele 3 (4); set
tele 2 (3) on adequate supports.
59. Using a grease gun or brush, apply grease to the inside
of tele 2 (3) in the areas where the tele 3 rear wear pads
will touch upon assembly.
60. Attach the grease hose (126) and related parts (79, 80,
77, 78) to each rear top wear pad (94), then install the
