direction. See NomoLine ISA CO2/AX+ Interface on page 11 or ISA OR+ Interface
on page 12.
2. Perform a Pre-maintenance check. See Pre-Maintenance Check on page 19.
3. Connect the NomoLine device to a host device. Ensure the host device is powered
on and the capnography parameters display.
4. Leave the NomoLine ISA system running with the NomoLine ISA Maintenance Kit
connected for a minimum of 5 minutes.
5. Mount the regulator kit on the gas cylinder. Be careful not to damage the thread of
the cylinder.
6. Place the gas cylinder with the mounted regulator kit in a vertical position on a
flat surface. The gas cylinder/rotameter cannot be used in a horizontal position,
see figure 1-15.

7. Follow the table at the end of this procedure to make the correct gas
compensation settings in the host device when using the specified calibration gas
cylinder (refer to host manual for more details).
8. Ensure correct compensation setting when using other calibration gas cylinders
than the one specified in the Gas Compensations Settings Table in this section.
9. Open the needle valve and adjust the flow so that the float of the rotameter lies
above the first line shown in figure 1-16. To save gas keep the bottom edge of the
float just above the line, i.e. do not open the needle valve more than necessary.
