Sensor Selection and Placement
2
The most appropriate sensor will depend on size of user. See sensor package for
recommendations.
Wrap-around style sensor available in two sizes:
> Neonatal/Adult (<3kg or >40kg) and infant (3-20kg)
Connect sensor to patient cable
Multisite Reusable Sensor (>1kg)
> Intuitive sensor-to-cable
connection
> Tactile and audible feedback
to ensure proper connection
Weight range for sensor size is approximate. The most important part of
sensor placement is that the Emitter (red light) is aligned directly across
from the Detector.
The Emitter should always be placed on the
nail or top of foot and Detector on eshy pad
of nger or bottom of foot.
