What to do if I smell gas near my Masport MG 3000 STD NG Indoor Fireplace?
    • L
      Laura LeeAug 14, 2025
If you smell gas in the room when using your Masport Indoor Fireplace, immediately check all pipe fitting joints for leaks. This includes the gas supply system, pilot light and main burner supply tubes, and all connections to the control valve and pressure reducing valve (NG models). Use only a proper leak check solution and never use an open flame to check for leaks.

Why won't the pilot light on my Masport MG 3000 STD NG Indoor Fireplace light with a spark?
    • M
      malonefrankAug 18, 2025
If the pilot light of your Masport Indoor Fireplace won't light even though there is a strong blue spark, first, make sure you are following the correct lighting procedure as described in the manual. Also, check that there is gas supply at the heater, and that no gas valve is closed or gas supply lines are faulty. It is also possible that the pilot filter or jet is blocked (if you have Boston and Odessa models, replace the filter in the control valve and clean jet). Finally, check the fuel level in the LPG system and replenish if needed.

      Cynthia SingletonAug 21, 2025
If the pilot light of your Masport Indoor Fireplace will not light and there is no strong blue spark, the igniter battery may be faulty (Santa Fe models only). Replace the AA alkaline cell in the igniter. Also, check the electrode wire or wire connections, ensuring the wire is not shorting and connections are firm at each end.

Why do I smell flue gas in the room with my Masport Indoor Fireplace?
    • K
      katherinevasquezSep 1, 2025
If you smell flue gas in the room when using your Masport Indoor Fireplace (Boston and Odessa models), it could be spilling from the draught diverter at the rear of the heater. Check for flue blockage, negative air pressure in the room, or circumstances causing a down-draught.
