Example:
To access any of the free stations in a group 1, dial 3981.
How to program?
Use following command to program Department Call:
251-Department Group-Station1....Station8
Where,
Department group is from 0 to 9.
Station1...Station8 are stations from 21 to 28 to be defined in a group. (If less than 8 station are required in a
group, use ‘#’ to terminate the command).
Example:
To program stations 21, 25 and 28 in a group to be accessed with code 3980.
Use following command:
251-0-21-25-28-#
Program station 21, 25 and 28 in a group to be accessed with code 3981.
251-1-21-25-28-#
Important Point:
Department group 9 is used as VMS group. Hence if VMS is interfaced with the PROTON 206/308 and if the
VMS ports are assigned a group, group 9 cannot be used for Pilot Call.

Direct Inward Dialing (DID)
What’s this?
The System can perform the task of an operator of transferring the call to the desired station. This facility is
called Direct Inward Dialing (DID).
By using this facility, frequent callers can reach desired stations by dialing the station numbers.
How to program?
Step 1: Enable/disable DID on a trunk/s during daytime and nighttime using command 43.
Step 2: Program the DID timers.
Step 1
Use following command to program DID facility:
43-Trunk-Day Time-Night Time
Where,
Trunk is from 1 to 3.
Use following command to program DID facility on all trunks:
43-*-Day Time-Night Time
Day Time Night Time Meaning
0 0 DID Disabled
1 1 DID Enabled
