Raid is a sensitive feature. The system Engineer should restrict of access this feature. If a user is
allowed the access to raid, he should use it responsibly.

Receiving Incoming Calls
The PROTON 206/308 is very flexible in directing trunk calls. Whenever there is a ring on the trunk, the
PROTON 206/308 senses it and directs it to one (or more) stations.
Different stations can be programmed to receive incoming calls-one during normal office hours (day time) and
other during after office hours (night time).
Programmed station can receive incoming call when it is free or even when in speech with some other station.
If the programmed destination is free, it starts ringing. To answer the ring, just lift the handset and start talking.
If the programmed destination is in speech with some other station or trunk, it gets trunk call waiting tone
(repeated double sharp beeps) over his speech. The station can get connected to the ringing trunk/station by
dialing ‘flash’. The other station/trunk is put on hold and gets hold on music.
A trunk can be made to land on a station in four different ways. This is called hunting scheme. For more details,

Remote Alarm
What’s this?
• Secretary can set alarm for the boss from his own station.
• At the set time, the telephone of the boss starts ringing.
• When he lifts the handset, he gets music.
• If the boss does not answer the call for time = Alarm Ring Timer 1 then boss’s station and operator’s station
starts ringing for time = Alarm Ring Timer 2.
How to use it?
Station is the station on which remote alarm to be set. Minutes is from 00 to 99.
Example:
Set a duration alarm of 5 minutes on station 23 from station 26. Issue following command from station 26.
1 Lift the handset. Dial tone
2 Dial 164-Station-1-Minutes. Confirmation tone
3 Replace the handset.
