Other than a few large web offsets, there are only slow web
offsets to compensate for.
The material web that is used naturally runs evenly and
smoothly.
Settings:
Set the range of reduced activity to 0%
Adjust the guiding sensitivity of the drive (page
7-4
)
aggressively
It is no problem if the drive overreacts somewhat. To reach
the full adjusted speed, a value of over 100 must be reached
if a sensor with a field of view of about 18 mm is used (for
example SE-42). Sensors with a larger field of view require
higher setting values.
Enlarge the area of reduced activity until the drive is
responding almost smoothly while the material web is
running.
Increase the factor to strike a good compromise between
compensated drive movements and guiding accuracy.
The optimum value for the factor is usually between 10% and
50%.
1y.3.y8 Polarity The
Polarity
menu is used to set the guiding direction of the
selected drive for "Automatic" mode.
1y.3.y9 Speed Gain Control The
Speed Gain Control
menu is used to determine whether web
speed will affect how guiding is performed.
The
Speed Gain Control
menu is only present in a job of the
D-MAXE system if the software has been programmed
accordingly.
The information about web speed is fed in through either a
digital network or an analog signal (see menu
1y.5.1.5 Line
Speed, page 7-14
).
