STEP 19 - PLATFORM CHAIN ADJUSTMENT
1. Lower the platform to ground level.
Check if tip of the ipover and bot-
tom of the runners touch the ground
at the same time (FIG. 88-1).

2. If the bottom of the runners are off the
ground, measure the distance “H1
(FIG. 88-2) from the ground to the
bottom of the runners.
Adjustment is not required if
distance “H1” is 1” or less.
If distance “H1” is more than 1”, refer
to the steps that follow to adjust the
platform chains.

3. Refer to measured distance “H1” at the run-
ners and TABLE 88-1. Note the method(s)
that will be required to raise the tip of platform
(or retention ramp) the expected distance.
