1. Access the water inlet valve debris filters on
the back of the washer.
2. To remove a debris filter, use a pair of pliers
to grip the end of the filter.
3. Pull the filter out of the inlet with a twisting
motion.
TECH TIP: Debris filters come from the
factory with the end of the filter pointing
toward the back. Maytag recommends that
filters be installed the opposite way, so the
filter forms a cup shape to catch incoming
debris. This can help reduce the frequency
of filter cleaning.

Disconnect power before servicing.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
