File format
The test data is written in a data file (*.csv) using the CSV (Comma-
Values) format. Furthermore a summary
of the measuring results is written in a
separate header file (*.txt). The names of the files result from the following pattern:
<Prefix><Date><Consecutive number>.< File extension>
Prefix:
H … header file
D … data file
Date: Format YMMDD
Consecutive
number:
Double-digit number which is counted up by one for each logging
event
Example: H7041103.txt – a header file from 11th of April 2007 with the number 03.
As a result of the described file name pattern, the files on the stick can be ordered by
name.
The data can be viewed using Excel or comparable applications.
Header file The header file consists of generic inform
ation about parameters, type, duration and
result of the logged test procedure. T
he way the data is arranged, it can be used as
test protocol.
One can easily add any comments using an adequate editor.
Data file The actual test data is logged to the data file. About every 5 seconds or
following the
cycle of the AC voltage respectively, an entry is added to the date file which contains
information about time, voltage (in V) and current (in μA)
. In this way, the complete
test procedure can be followed by means of the logged data.
