2. Oil should be up to the bottom of the fill hole. A low oil level
indicates that there is an internal problem, and that you should
contact your authorized Mercury Marine dealer for appropriate
service. Do not operate engine if this oil level is low.

CAUTION
A sudden loss of pressure can cause hot coolant to boil and
discharge violently resulting in serious injury from burns. Allow
the engine to cool down before removing the coolant pressure
cap.
IMPORTANT: Check engine coolant before starting the engine.
