6. Gear end play should be 0.000-0002” (0.0508mm) loose. If the
end play is not within the specifi cations, the gear and rear bearing
will need to be removed and a bearing spacer of a different
thickness used.
7. Remove the bearing lock nut, spacer, and the End Play Setup Tool.
8. Install a heated bearing onto the shaft. Install the bearing lock
nut using Loctite 290 threadlocker on the threads and torque to
specifi cation. Figure 7.14.

Rear Output Shaft Assembly
1. Slide the retaining ring onto the intermediate shaft using a press
and plate until it is seated in the groove. Figure 7.15.

2. Install a heated bearing onto the shaft so that it is seated against
the shoulder. Figure 7.16.
