IMPORTANT
Alwaysensuretheseatbeltwillnotbecometrapped
inthedooraperturewhenclosingthedoor,damage
willoccur.
Pullingtheseatbeltouttooquicklymaycauseitto
'lock'.Inthiscase,allowtheseatbelttoretract
slightlyandthenpullitacrossyourbodyslowly.
Ifitisdifculttopulltheseatbeltout,itmaybedue
totwistedwebbing.Ifthisisthecase,fullyextract
theseatbelt,removethetwist,allowtheseatbelt
toretractslowly.
Afterusingtherearouterseatbelts,pleaseensure
thebeltisinstalledintheDpillarretainingclip.This
willpreventthebeltbecomingjammedwhenfolding
therearseat.
CorrectRoutingoftheSeatBelts
Ensuretheseatbeltiscorrectlypositionedon
thebody,nevercrosstheneckorabdomen,
neverpasstheseatbeltbehindthebackor
underthearms.
Whenwearingseatbelts,thelapbeltsectionshouldbe
positionedaslowaspossibleacrossyourhips,neveracross
theabdomen.Intheeventofacollision,thelapbeltcan
applyaforceonthehipsandreducethepossibilityofyou
slippingunderthelapbelt.Ifyouslipunderthelapbelt,the
beltwillapplyforceonyourabdomen,whichmaycause
seriousorfatalinjuries.Thediagonalsectionofthebelt
shouldcrossthemiddleoftheshoulderandthechest.In
theeventofemergencybrakingorcollision,thediagonal
sectionofthebeltwillbelocked.
