EPBcanbestartedwhenvehicleisinstaticstate.When
leavingthevehicleorparking,theEPBmustbeapplied.
•PulltheEPBswitchupwarduntiltheindicatorinEPB
switchilluminates.
•IftheindicatorinEPBswitchandindicator
inthe
instrumentpackilluminate,itmeanstheparkingbrake
hasbeenapplied.
•IftheEPBmalfunctionindicatorlamp
P
inthe
instrumentpackalwayslightson,itindicatesthe
electronicparkingbrakeisfaulty,pleaseseekanMG
AuthorisedRepairerurgently.
Note:Motorsoundmaybeheardwhenstartingor
stoppingtheEPB.
IMPORTANT
•EPBisunabletobestartedorstoppedwhenthe
batteryrunsdown.Insuchacase,jumpercableshall
beusedforemergencytostarttheengine,please
referto"JumpStarting"in"FailureintheDriving"
section.
•Withthebatteryrundownorthebatterysupply
disconnected,evenitisresumed,EPBmalfunction
indicatorininstrumentpackwillilluminateandthe
EPBshallnotbenormallystartedorstopped.You
needtodepressthebrakepedal,pressEPBswitch
andthenpullEPBswitchup,repeatsuchoperations
tillEPBmalfunctionindicatorisextinguished,then
EPBisbacktonormal.
StopEPB
•T urnonignitionswitch,depressthebrakepedal,and
pressEPBswitch.
•IncaseoftheindicatorinEPBswitchandindicator
ininstrumentpackextinguishes,stoptheparkingbrake.
