To adjust the Squelch Sensitivity:
1. Press the Menu button to place the radio in “Menu” mode.
2. Use the Channel Up or Channel Down button to scroll through
the menu options until the LCD display shows Sq.
3. Press the Monitor/Scan /EXWWRQWRFRQ¿UP\RXUVHOHFWLRQ
4. Use the Channel Up or Channel Down button to scroll forward
or backward to select the desired squelch level, from oF to 09.
ƒ The default squelch setting is 04, which generally provides reliable
squelch operation for most applications.
5. When the desired squelch level is shown on the LCD display, press
the Monitor/Scan EXWWRQWRFRQ¿UP\RXUVHOHFWLRQ
YOU MUST
PRESS THE MONITOR/SCAN BUTTON TO CONFIRM YOUR SELECTION OR THE
SQUELCH SENSITIVITY WILL NOT BE CHANGED.

To Activate the Roger Beep:
1. Press and release the Menu button to place the radio in “Menu”
mode.
2. Use the Channel Up or Channel Down button to scroll through
the menu options until the LCD display shows rb.
3. Press the Monitor/ScanEXWWRQWRFRQ¿UP\RXUVHOHFWLRQ
4. Use the Channel Up Channel Down button to select ON or OFF.
5. When the desired selection is shown in the LCD display press the Mon-
itor/ScanEXWWRQWRFRQ¿UP\RXUVHOHFWLRQ
YOU MUST PRESS
THE MONITOR/SCAN BUTTON TO CONFIRM YOUR SELECTION OR THE ROGER
BEEP WILL NOT BE CHANGED.
