Unpacking the hob
Please stick the data plate for the
appliance, supplied with this
documentation, in the space provided
in the “Customer Service
Department” section of this booklet.
Remove any protective foil and
stickers.
Cleaning the hob for the first
time
Before using for the first time, clean
the hob with a damp cloth.
Wipe the hob dry.
Switching on the hob for the
first time
The metal components have a
protective coating. When the hob is
used for the first time, this causes a
smell and possibly also vapour. The
heating of the induction coils also
causes odours in the first few hours of
operation. With each subsequent use,
the odour is reduced until it disappears
completely.
The smell and any vapours given off do
not indicate a faulty connection or
appliance and they are not hazardous
to health.
