Note:
After re-installing, the bumper strip must be seated correctly and evenly
around the casing, or suction will be lost.
5.24.2 S 4xx
The bumper strip (Figure 5-1, Item 2) also acts as a seal for the dustbag and
motor compartments.
1. To remove the bumper strip, first unscrew the two Phillips screws in the
carrying handle.
2. Remove the dustbag compartment lid (Section 5.1) and the rear casing
(Section 5.7). The bumper strip can now be unfastened. When re-
installing, ensure that it is seated correctly.
5.25 Grill for HEPA Filter (S 3xx Only)
1. Remove the dust compartment lid (Section 5.1).
2. Loosen the 2 Phillips screws securing the filter grill.
3. Release the grill at the rear and unclip at the front to remove.
