Message displayed in LOCAL
Message Cause Solution
Check waste ink
The waste ink tank count has exceeded the
specified value.
• Check the waste ink amount in the waste
ink tank.
• Execute maintenance and waste ink tank
replacement, and reset the waste ink
amount.
Replace WIPER
The wiper operation count has exceeded
the specified value.
• Execute maintenance, station
maintenance and wiper replacement, and
replace the wiper.
DATA REMAIN
Print data is received in the LOCAL mode.
• Transfer to the REMOTE mode and
execute printing.
• Or, execute data clear and stop printing.
NCU CONNECT
The NCU unit is not connected.
The nozzle check function cannot be used.
• Turn off the power button to the machine
and turn it on after a while.
• If the same error message appears,
contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
REPLACE NCU
The NCU sensor sensitivity is too low to
correctly judge nozzle missing.
The nozzle check function cannot be used.
• NCU replacement is necessary.
• Contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
NCU NZK CHK (HW)
Nozzle check OFF
• Check the nozzle condition. If there is
plenty of deflection and/or nozzle
missing, clean and restore the affected
nozzles.

Nozzle check OFF
Due to an NCU-related error during nozzle
check, printing was stopped and the nozzle
check function was turned off.
• Check the nozzle condition. If there is

missing, clean and restore the affected
nozzles.

Nozzle check OFF
• Check the nozzle condition. If there is
plenty of deflection and/or nozzle
missing, clean and restore the affected
nozzles.
• If the same error message appears,
contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
REPLACE NCU INK PAD
The NCU ink pat is full.
• It is necessary to replace the NCU ink
pad.
• Contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
NCU SENSOR LEVEL LOW
The NCU sensor sensitivity is falling.
• Replacement of the NCU is recom-
mended.
• Contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
NCU Sens Adj Err H
Cannot adjust the sensor sensitivity.
NCU Sens Adj Err L
Nozzle Missing
Print Stopped
Due to nozzle missing determined by
nozzle check, printing was stopped.
• Perform head cleaning(P.2-8) and take
measures to resolve nozzle clogging(P.4-
6).
NCU ERROR
Nozzle check OFF
Due to an NCU-related error during nozzle
check, printing was stopped and the nozzle
check function was turned off.
• Contact our service desk or your local
distributor to call for service.
!Can’t PRINT/HEAD ERROR
Print head is defective.
