Insert the AV cable into the camera’s AV-out / USB terminal.
Plug the other end of the AV cable into the video and audio input
terminals on the television.
• The yellow plug is for the video output. The white plug is for the
monaural audio output.
Turn the television on.
Turn the camera on and slide the mode switch to the
playback position.
• The camera’s monitors will not activate when the
camera is attached to a television. The playback-mode
display will be visible on the television screen.
Set the television to the video channel.

Viewing images on a television
It is possible to view camera images on your television. The camera has a AV-out terminal to make
the connection using the supplied AV cable. The camera is compatible with the NTSC and PAL
standards. The video-output setting can be checked and set in the setup 2 section of the playback
menu (p. 54).
Turn off the television and the camera.1.
